A2ZCDS.com Partners with Bookworld Trade, LLC to Offer First Ever Brick and Mortar Product Distribution
(PRWEB) April 4, 2005 -- We have been very successful at selling our products to online consumers, said A2ZCDS founder Scott Reid. But there is a sales channel we have been missing.
By some industry estimates, up to 90 percent of all media purchases are made by consumers offline in traditional retail outlets. Until this partnership A2ZCDS has been a pure e-commerce company. Now it will be a full multi-channel retailer.
There is a growing number of people who see products in conventional stores and then come online to purchase them, Reid said. This partnership will make us visible to that market base.
Online sales account for only a fraction of our sales potential, Reid said. The increased visibility should also help fuel our higher margin online sales.
A2ZCDS initially focused on selling educational and historical CD-ROMs, then started offering restored educational and historical films on DVD last year. There are currently more than 300 products on sale through the site and by the end of 2005 they hope to have as many as 1,000 new products available for retail sale.
Bookworld Trade, LLC is one of the top three distributors of media products to retail outlets. The company has been ranked one of the two best distributors in the United States by the Publishers Marketing Association.
Bookworld plans to reach out and put A2ZCDS products in the hands of major retailers including Wal-Mart, Borders, Barnes & Noble, and Books-a-Million, as well as several thousand smaller retailers.
Bookworld believes strongly in our products and is confident that this partnership will be mutually beneficial for both parties. And itll be a boost to our resellers as well, Reid said. When people see A2ZCDS products in reseller auctions the brand will already be recognizable.
A2ZCDS resellers purchase CDs and DVDs at wholesale prices and then sell them at retail on auction sites, through their own personal websites and at flea markets.
